How Long is the Waiting List to See an Osteopath?

Due to patient loyalty (manual osteopaths have the highest rate of patient retention rate compared to other manual therapists), established manual osteopaths are generally booked up. Waiting lists are quite common in the profession.

In Richmond Hill (Ontario, Canada) there is a one to two months waiting list to see a manual osteopath. And I just received a letter from a patient of osteopathy (see the link below) which indicates manual osteopaths in London (Ontario, Canada) have a waiting list of one to three years!

This patient after many years of low back pain, found relief through osteopathic care and was so impressed that she applied to National Academy of Osteopathy to become an osteopathic manual practitioner.

UPDATE: This week I taught manual osteopathy to the Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) students at the National University of Medical Sciences campus in Madrid. One of my students, Stephane Laporte, DOMP is a graduate of the National Academy of Osteopathy diploma program in manual osteopathy. He practices in Vietnam and he told me that the manual osteopaths in Vietnam are completely booked and the average waiting list there is three weeks to see a manual osteopath.
